What happened
It found a server at the Singapore Asia headquarters infected with ransomware. [1]
It reported to the personal data authorities of Japan and Singapore and announced the case. The server may have held personal data. [1]
It published a second report. An investigation with outside specialists found traces of attempts to take some files out of the server, so a leak of personal data could not be fully ruled out. [2] [3]
Impact
The files that may have leaked and hold personal data are materials of a joint project between a Singapore business school and the Asia headquarters, materials of events in Southeast Asia, and materials about the Asia headquarters' officers and employees.
