Aichi Rikuun: ransomware encrypts server data

On 8 March 2024 the logistics company Aichi Rikuun announced unauthorized access to its servers. According to ScanNetSecurity and Security NEXT, it could not reach its internal servers on 19 February, and an internal investigation found that in the early hours of that day a ransomware attack had encrypted the data on them. It reported to the Personal Information Protection Commission and to the police. No circulation or misuse of personal data had been seen, but the company warned contacts that leaked data could be used in further attacks.
