Iseki Hokkaido: ransomware; about 55,000 customer and employee records at risk
On 5 December 2024 Iseki & Co. (TSE Prime 6310) and Iseki Hokkaido disclosed that some Iseki Hokkaido servers had been hit by ransomware. Data encryption was found on the morning of 27 November, and the company's network was cut off from the group's core systems. A second report on 15 January 2025 said no traces of data being sent out were found, but about 53,600 records of customers and others (names, addresses, phone numbers, transaction details) and about 2,100 records of current and former employees and their families (names, addresses, birth dates, HR data, bank account details, copies of ID documents and more) may have leaked.
