MUFG Bank: DDoS attack makes Mitsubishi UFJ Direct and other online banking logins unstable

On 26 December 2024 MUFG Bank said the failure of its Mitsubishi UFJ Direct online banking from about 3 p.m. that day was caused by a large volume of malicious incoming data. Logins with face and fingerprint authentication became unstable, and logins to its corporate BizSTATION and COMSUITE Portal services were also briefly unstable. No customer data leaked and there was no malware damage. Services recovered on the morning of 28 December.
