Square Enix: three DDoS attacks on Final Fantasy XIV on February 13, 14 and 17 disrupted connections to its North American data center

A network failure caused by a DDoS attack began and lasted until about 08:39. Players could be disconnected from worlds in the North American data center, and logging in and connecting could be difficult. [1] [5]

A DDoS-caused network failure struck again and had the same effects for a few minutes until about 01:24. It said it would work with ISPs on countermeasures. [2]
