Shinchosha: ransomware attack

A June 27 intrusion through a network-device vulnerability led to encryption and theft. December's final report separately categorized confirmed and possible exposures, with possible duplicate individuals. Confirmed leakage in outsourced investigations comprised about 89,000 identifier-only entries, 12,500 identifier/name entries and 1,200 entries containing medical information; other categories included possible exposures. No secondary harm was confirmed.
