Anabuki Housing Service: ransomware attack on the group
The Anabuki Housing group confirmed and disclosed ransomware damage on February 3. Intrusion through a vulnerability in a group company's network equipment enabled lateral movement and file exfiltration. Some leakage was confirmed; the group initially reported up to about 496,000 personal records potentially affected. Its sixth report on May 21 narrowed the possible exposure scope to 207,773 records after examining the stolen files, rather than confirming that every such person's data was exfiltrated. The old network was retired and all PCs replaced; most operations returned to normal except parts of property management and inquiry handling.
