Washington Hotel: ransomware attack

Server intrusion detected February 13 was disclosed February 14; some hotels' card terminals were unavailable. September's final report traced entry through external connectivity equipment and confirmed encryption, but found no clear evidence of information theft or public posting. Some employee data was on affected servers and staff were notified. The external environment holding guest/member data was not breached. Operations recovered.
