Act-Sen: ransomware attack on its work management system
On 1 May, Act-Sen, a medical equipment maintenance company in Sendai, found the server of its work management system accessed and encrypted, apparently by ransomware. Its 15 June disclosure said names, employee numbers, emails, login passwords, license numbers, birth dates and phone numbers of current and former staff of GWIN group companies Act-Sen, Odori System, Superior Advantec and Office Integral may have been viewed or taken. The server was stopped and isolated and work moved to a new environment.
