Kaizen Tech Agent: suspected data theft by a former employee

On 10 June, staffing company Kaizen Tech Agent said a former employee may have used their work access rights to take internal data out of the company on 16 October 2025. It began investigating in March 2026 after spotting a possible rules violation and consulted the Tokyo police. The former employee denies taking anything. Up to 9,721 records may be affected: names, birth dates, addresses, phone numbers, emails, employers, bank accounts, emergency contacts and interview notes, some possibly mentioning health.
