Mikasa: data may have leaked from a disposed PC
On 16 June, ball and sports goods maker Mikasa said a PC it disposed of in late April through a disposal contractor had not been destroyed properly and went into circulation with some data still on it, briefly reaching a third party. The PC was recovered. It could not rule out a leak of names, addresses, emails, phone numbers, genders, occupations, birth dates and purchases of up to 4,298 people who bought from its online shop between September 2013 and March 2016. No card data was included.
