Nihon Kotsu: malware attack

In the early hours of 11 July, taxi operator Nihon Kotsu found its internal systems had been hit by malware and cut them off. Online hire car orders and bookings, phone taxi dispatch and online registration for its maternity taxi service stopped. On 22 July it found information suspected to be stolen from it on the internet, and on 19 August it said some of its files had leaked. Phone dispatch and other services resumed on 6 October.
