Ando Hazama: employee tricked by a fake police officer into sending business card data

Between 16 and 23 August, a person claiming to be a police officer asked an employee of general contractor Ando Hazama for business card data, saying it was needed to investigate the employee's contacts. On the 17th the employee downloaded the data from the company's business card system and sent it by email. On the 23rd the employee called the police and learned it was a scam aimed at fraudulent billing. About 5,000 records with company names, departments, titles, names, addresses, phone and fax numbers and emails leaked.
