JST: unauthorized access to staff mailboxes
On 7 August, the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) said that, after a tip-off from an outside organization on 28 July, it found mail in some staff mailboxes may have leaked through unauthorized access. Its 28 August update put the scope at about 18,000 emails of 12 staff, about 1,400 outside email addresses and about 1,000 staff addresses in them. The path used was closed.
