Tokyo Gas Network: work laptop lost

On 13 August, Tokyo Gas Network said an employee lost a work laptop holding about 20,000 customer records. After drinking with colleagues on 5 August, the employee lost a bag with the laptop on the train home and noticed early on 6 August. It held names, addresses and more of about 20,000 customers whose on-site gas work was completed in fiscal 2025, and addresses, phone numbers and emails of 152 customers who asked about city gas supply. The laptop needs the employee's ID and password to use.
