VOISING: unauthorized access to a BI tool it uses
On 18 August, VOISING, the agency behind 2.5D idol groups such as Ireisu, said customer data leaked through unauthorized access to a BI tool it uses internally. Access began at about 1:02 on 10 August, and data in the tool was downloaded from 18:47 to 20:21 on 16 August; it noticed late that night and shut down and isolated the system early on 17 August. About 170,000 records were affected: names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, birth dates, genders, purchase histories, payment amounts and which talent customers support. The cause was a vulnerability in the BI tool exploited before a fix was applied. Its third report said some of the data was found published on social media and elsewhere.
