Nippon Trex: unauthorized access to its information systems halted internet ordering and other services; no data leak was found

It confirmed unauthorized access to its information systems by a third party. Its parent Kyokuto Kaihatsu Kogyo announced the same day that a system failure at Nippon Trex had halted internet ordering. [1] [2]

Nippon Trex announced the unauthorized access. Halted were internet ordering, the parts ordering system for designated partners (orders by fax remained possible) and email with customers and partners. Business continued by other means, and no outside leak of personal or customer data was found. [2] [4]

With outside specialists it finished checking the safety of the systems and drawing up prevention measures, and resumed the halted services. The investigation found no outside leak of personal or customer data. [3]
