Shudo Gakuen: unauthorized access to a server

On 30 September Shudo Gakuen, which runs Hiroshima Shudo University and other schools, said it found unauthorized access to a server it manages on 26 September and that information including personal data may have leaked. This covers bank account details of companies dealing with Hiroshima Shudo University, Shudo Junior and Senior High School and Hiroshima Shudo University Hiroshima Kyoso Junior and Senior High School, as well as names, addresses, phone numbers and bank details of staff, outside lecturers and others. Its second report on 8 October said student data was not included. It is investigating the cause and scope with an outside firm and reported the case to the Personal Information Protection Commission.
