Furukawa Electric Power Systems: unauthorized access to the web shipping system

On 26 October, Furukawa Electric Power Systems, a Furukawa Electric subsidiary, said the web shipping management system used by its disaster prevention products division was accessed without authorization on 14 October. It stopped the system the same day. Company names, contact names, addresses and phone numbers of orderers and delivery recipients may have leaked; the count is under review. The system held no card or bank account data. Orders and shipping continue as usual.
