Kodansha BECK: unauthorized access to an employee email account

On 2 October, Kodansha BECK, publisher of Best Car and other titles, said an employee email account from its predecessor Kodansha BC was accessed by a third party, and 50 suspicious emails were sent from it on 14 September. Access logs showed continuous unauthorized access and signs that mail data was taken, so personal data in the mailbox may have leaked. It believes the account credentials were stolen somehow.
