NIFTY: unauthorized access to the line application management system

At about 10:20 on 19 October, NIFTY found unauthorized access to its line application management system, an internal tool for entering customer data, and blocked the source. Up to 542,513 customers who applied for @nifty fiber and related lines since 2019 (except through its own website) may be affected: member IDs, names, genders, birth dates, addresses, phone numbers and emails. The system held no bank or card data.
