Nikkei: unauthorized access to the cloud service it uses for system development

Credentials for the cloud service Nikkei uses for system development were stolen by some means, and the service was accessed in the early hours of 7 October. About 1.83 million records of personal data stored there leaked: about 150,000 contain a name, email, address, phone number or birth date, and about 1.68 million are identifiers that cannot identify a person on their own. No card data was included. The credentials used were revoked.
