Iyaku Joho Net: unauthorized access to Asahi Kasei Therapeutics' Pharma DIGITAL site for healthcare professionals

On 2 October, Asahi Kasei Therapeutics was told by Iyaku Joho Net, which runs its Pharma DIGITAL information site for healthcare professionals and manages its data, that the member database behind the site had been accessed in a cyberattack, and took the site offline. Names, workplaces and their addresses, job types and specialties of up to about 514,000 healthcare professionals (about 44,000 with emails and more), plus names, emails and photos of about 700 employees, may have been viewed or taken.
