Travel Zip: unauthorized access at the operator of Taito City's TAITO Odekake Navi tourism site

On 23 October Taito City said Travel Zip, the company it contracts to manage its TAITO Odekake Navi tourism site, reported a personal data leak caused by unauthorized access. About 5,500 records were confirmed leaked: names or company names, email addresses, phone numbers and addresses of people who downloaded photos, requested brochures or sent inquiries through the site. The city warned of emails impersonating the city or the site operator.
