Augmented reality (AR)
Technology that overlays images or guidance on a real-world view, such as a phone camera showing characters or explanations at a tourist site.
How it works
Augmented reality overlays computer-generated images or guidance on a view of the real world. For example, pointing a phone camera at a tourist site can show characters or explanations on the screen. It describes how a service displays content; the name itself does not identify a cause of a data leak. [1]
