Geniee: unauthorized access to GENIEE MA

On 15 May, Geniee became aware of unauthorized outside use of its GENIEE MA marketing automation tool. The investigation found a third party had used its cloud computing resources without authorization, and the use was stopped. The account involved could reach only one service within GENIEE MA, which does not handle personal or confidential data, and no leak was found. An August 14 disclosure recognized ¥181 million in incident-related losses as a reasonable estimate of its cost burden; the final loss remained undetermined.
