D&M: ransomware attack
On 1 June, D&M, a maker of sports supports, found ransomware on the file sharing server it used to store fax data. An outsider got in through a VPN device. Names, addresses, phone numbers and other details of business partners and customers in fax orders received from 1 August 2024 to 1 June 2026, 633 records in all, most likely leaked. Work resumed the same day.
