What happened

The group detected unauthorized access to its business system on 29 October. It disabled the credentials used, but access continued, so it stopped the system on 30 October. Personal information from roadside assistance and other reception and dispatch work entrusted to Prestige Core Solution was taken out. [1]

Impact

The maximum estimate is about 5.5 million records, including duplicates. The number of distinct people is under review. Records contain names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, vehicle registration and chassis numbers, accident and breakdown reports, and some bank account information. [1]

No card data leak or resulting misuse had been confirmed. Some partner company information may also be affected. The notice does not name the client insurers or other customers. [1]

Response

Roadside assistance and other work continue through alternative arrangements while the system is stopped. External specialists are investigating the cause and scope; the group is reporting to the privacy regulator and consulting police. [1]
