Internet and computer basics
FTP / SFTP
Ways to send files between computers over the internet, for example to put a website's pages on the computer that shows them (the server). FTP sends the files and the password exactly as they are, so anyone watching along the way can read them. SFTP first turns them into a jumble that only the receiving computer can turn back (encryption).
